Reducer usage and maintenance skills
A reducer, also known as a gearbox, is a power transmission mechanism that mainly plays a role in reducing speed and increasing torque. It is an essential mechanical equipment in many industries. Due to its wide range of applications and different models, there are many types of reducers. We will not introduce them one by one here. If you need to know more, you can follow or contact Henan Mabang Transmission Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. Today our topic is to talk about the skills and maintenance of gearboxes in daily use:
1. After running the gearbox for 200-300 hours, the initial oil change should be carried out. In future use, the quality of the oil should be regularly checked, and any impurities or spoiled oil should be replaced in a timely manner. In general, for reducers that operate continuously for a long time, they should be replaced with new oil after 5000 hours of operation or once a year. For reducers that have been out of service for a long time, they should also be replaced with new oil before resuming operation. The reducer should be filled with oil of the same grade as the original, and should not be mixed with oil of different grades. Oil of the same grade but with different viscosity is allowed to be mixed;
2. When changing the oil, wait until the gearbox cools down and there is no risk of combustion, but still keep it warm because after complete cooling, the viscosity of the oil increases, making it difficult to drain. Attention: Cut off the power supply of the transmission device to prevent accidental power on;
3. During the operation of the gearbox, when the oil temperature rises above 80 ℃ or the oil pool temperature exceeds 100 ℃ and abnormal noise is generated, it should be stopped from use, the cause should be checked, the fault needs to be eliminated, and the lubricating oil should be replaced before continuing to operate;
4. Users should have reasonable usage and maintenance rules and regulations, and carefully record the operation of the reducer and any problems found during inspection. The above regulations should be strictly implemented.
Maintenance and upkeep of the gearbox:
When selecting lubricating oil based on the bearing load of the walking reducer, lubricating oil with low needle penetration should be selected for heavy loads. When working under high pressure, in addition to low needle penetration, it is also necessary to have high oil film strength.
Different lubricating oils are prohibited from being mixed with each other. The position of the oil level plug, drain plug, and breather is determined by the installation position.
In summary, the tips for using a gearbox are actually to regularly inspect and maintain the equipment in order to ensure its normal operation and improve work efficiency.
