The abnormal noise of the planetary reducer may be caused by these several reasons
The reducer is an independent component enclosed in a rigid housing composed of gear transmission, worm transmission, and gear worm transmission. It is often used as a deceleration transmission device between the prime mover and the working machine, playing a role in matching the rotational speed and transmitting torque between the prime mover and the working machine or the actuator. It is widely used in modern machinery.
What are the reasons for the abnormal sound of the reducer
Damage and falling off of parts
This is a clear and irregular response.
Foreign bodies in the body
Unusual sounds are clear and irregular. The main reason is that foreign objects (such as small parts, assembly tools, etc.) accidentally fall into the gearbox during the assembly process. If this occurs, check for foreign material that may damage the gear.
Gear tooth side clearance is too large
This abnormal noise is turbid and usually occurs during the starting process of the gear unit and disappears during continuous operation. In gear meshing transmission, in order to form a lubricating film between the meshing teeth and avoid friction and thermal expansion of the gears, there are gaps between the gears, called side gaps.
If the backlash between the teeth is too small, thermal expansion will cause the meshing gear to jam, but if the backlash is too large, a strong impact force will be generated at the moment of contact between the teeth, causing abnormal impact.
Non concentricity between parts
This noise is turbid, continuous, and periodic. Under normal circumstances, the difference in concentricity of each part does not affect the performance of the product, but if it exceeds the allowable range, it will generate different noises and even affect the service life of the reducer
Due to the differences in the hearts of these parts enterprises, social phenomena such as abnormal meshing of gears, uneven distribution of loads, and uneven stress distribution occur. Under the action of this unbalanced force, various sounds can be produced.
Large bearing clearance
Abnormal sound is clear, continuous, periodic, and increases with speed.
During operation, the rolling element collides with the inner and outer rings, generating abnormal noise.
