Maintenance and upkeep methods for the gear reducer of DCY160-50-1 reducer with three-level hard tooth surface
Selection and use of lubricating oilChoose the appropriate lubricating oil: According to the user manual of the reducer, DCY160-50-1 reducer is usually recommended to use medium extreme pressure industrial gear oil, such as L-CKC220 or L-CKD320. The appropriate viscosity of oil should be selected based on the actual working conditions such as the working environment temperature and load of the reducer.
First oil change time: The new gearbox should undergo the first oil change after running for about 2000 hours to remove metal debris and other impurities generated during the running in period of gears and bearings, and to avoid these impurities causing wear to the gearbox.
Regular oil change: The lubricating oil should be replaced every 5000-8000 hours or 6-12 months (whichever comes first). In some harsh working environments, such as high temperature, high dust, or high humidity, the oil change cycle may need to be appropriately shortened.
oil level check
Inspection cycle: Before and during the operation of the gearbox, the oil level should be checked regularly. It is recommended to conduct a check before running every day and at least once a week during operation.
Inspection method: After stopping the machine, wait for 10-15 minutes to allow the oil to fully flow back to the oil pan, and then check the oil level through the oil level gauge. The oil level should be between the upper and lower limits of the oil level gauge. If the oil level is below the lower limit, lubricating oil should be replenished in a timely manner; If it exceeds the upper limit, it is necessary to drain the oil appropriately.
Gear and bearing inspection
Appearance inspection: Regularly open the observation hole or remove the inspection cover to check the wear of the gear surface, and inspect whether there are defects such as wear, pitting, bonding, peeling, etc. on the tooth surface, especially paying attention to whether there are cracks at the tooth root. For a three-stage hard tooth surface reducer, due to the presence of multiple gear pairs, it is necessary to carefully inspect each stage gear. At the same time, check the appearance of the bearings for rust, wear, ball breakage, and other conditions.
Operation status check: During the operation of the gearbox, the operation status of the gears and bearings is determined by listening to sound, feeling vibration, and other methods. During normal operation, the gearbox should produce a uniform and smooth sound. If there is abnormal noise, vibration, or heating, it may be due to poor gear meshing or bearing damage, and it is necessary to stop the machine for inspection in a timely manner.
