Current status and development trends of planetary gear reducers/planetary reducers
For general reducers, modular design technology has become a major direction for their development, in addition to the widespread use of hard tooth surface technology. It aims to pursue high performance while minimizing the variety, specifications, and quantity of components and blanks, in order to organize production, form batches, reduce costs, and achieve economies of scale. At the same time, utilizing basic components, increasing the form and variety of products, and developing practical variant designs or derived series products as much as possible, such as deriving multiple specialized series from a universal series; Breaking away from the traditional installation method of a single solid shaft output with a base, different forms of hollow shaft output such as baseless suspension, floating support base, integrated connection between motor and reducer, and multi-directional installation surface have been added, expanding the scope of use.
The main factors that promote the level improvement of the reducer are:
1) Theoretical knowledge is more comprehensive and closer to reality (such as gear strength calculation methods, deformation calculations, modification techniques, optimization design methods, smooth tooth root transitions, new tooth profiles, new structures, etc.).
2) Gear and shaft materials commonly use various high-quality alloy steel forgings, and the quality control level of materials and heat treatment has been improved.
3) The structural design is more reasonable.
4) The gear machining accuracy has been improved to levels 4-6 of ISO 1328-1975.
5) The rigidity and machining accuracy of the box are improved.
6) Improved bearing quality and lifespan.
7) Using industrial gear oil with additives, the lubricating oil quality is quite high.
