Causes of damage to planetary gear reducer box

There are various reasons for the damage of the planetary gear reducer housing, and the following are some possible reasons:

1. Long term overload

The design of the planetary gear reducer housing has taken into account its load-bearing capacity, but long-term operation beyond its load-bearing capacity can lead to fatigue and cracks in the gearbox housing, resulting in damage. Therefore, when using planetary gear reducers, they should be operated according to their specified load-bearing capacity to avoid overloading.

2. Improper installation

The planetary gear reducer needs to be installed horizontally. If it is not installed horizontally, the force borne by the gearbox body will be uneven, leading to damage. Therefore, when installing the planetary gear reducer, it should be ensured that it is placed horizontally.

3. Poor lubrication
