High precision level
Level 0, Level 1, Level 2: These levels belong to extremely high precision levels, which are difficult to manufacture and costly. They are generally used in special fields that require extremely high transmission accuracy and stability, such as aerospace, ultra precision instruments, etc.
Level 3, Level 4, Level 5: Levels 3 to 5 are high-precision levels. Grade 5 gears are precision gears that can be machined on precision gear machines with very small periodic deviations. The tooth surface is precision ground, and large gears are precision hobbing and then ground or shaved, with a tooth surface roughness of 0.4-0.8. Commonly used in precision indexing mechanisms, high-speed gears with high requirements for smooth operation and noise, and high-speed steam turbines.
Medium precision level
Level 6, Level 7, Level 8: Levels 6 to 8 are medium precision levels. The precision of level 7 gears is relatively high and needs to be machined on high-precision gear machines. Non quenched gear surfaces are cut with high-precision tools, while quenched gears require precision machining with a tooth surface roughness of 1.6. They are suitable for high-speed low load or reverse gears, machine feed gears, medium speed reducers, etc. The gear geometry, dimensional accuracy, and surface quality requirements for 8-level precision are high, making it suitable for general high-speed transmission, high load transmission, and other occasions that require high transmission accuracy.
Low precision level
