The main impact of oil leakage in planetary cycloidal pinwheel reducers

Planetary cycloidal pinwheel reducer is a widely used transmission equipment in various industrial fields. Its working principle is to use the meshing effect of planetary gears and pinwheels to convert the rotational motion of the input shaft into the deceleration motion of the output shaft. However, in actual use, planetary cycloidal pinwheel reducers may experience oil leakage, which not only affects their normal operation but also has adverse effects on the equipment itself and the surrounding environment. This article will delve into the main effects of oil leakage in planetary cycloidal gear reducers.
1、 Equipment performance degradation
Oil leakage from planetary cycloidal gear reducers can lead to a decrease in equipment performance. Oil plays a role in lubrication, cooling, and shock absorption in the gearbox. Once oil leakage occurs and the amount of oil is insufficient, it can cause increased friction between gears and bearings and other transmission components, generate a large amount of heat, and increase the temperature of the gearbox, thereby affecting its transmission efficiency and service life. At the same time, the lack of oil will also weaken the damping effect, and the noise and vibration during equipment operation will significantly increase, which will have a negative impact on the stability of the equipment.

3、 Environmental pollution
Oil leakage from planetary cycloidal gear reducers can also cause environmental pollution. The leaked oil will penetrate into the soil, causing pollution to the soil; At the same time, oil may also flow into water bodies, causing water pollution. In addition, the leaked oil will evaporate in the air and produce an odor, affecting the air quality of the surrounding environment. Therefore, sufficient attention must be paid to the problem of oil leakage in planetary cycloidal pinwheel reducers, and effective measures must be taken to solve it.
