Compared to other reducers, precision planetary reducers have the characteristics of high rigidity, high precision (up to 1 point per stage), high transmission efficiency (97% -98% per stage), high torque/volume ratio, and lifelong maintenance free. Most are installed on stepper and servo motors to reduce speed, increase torque, and match inertia.
The return clearance is an important condition for confirming whether the reducer is high-precision. The main components of a planetary reducer are planetary gears, sun gears, inner gear rings, and transmission shafts. The operating principle is that the planetary gear rotates around the sun gear while also rotating, transmitting force to the output shaft through the inner gear ring for operation. From this, it can be seen that gears are of great importance, and the return clearance is also known as the clearance. Generally speaking, it refers to the gap between teeth when a certain force is applied back and forth between gears when they mesh. The smaller the gap, the higher the accuracy, and the better the transmission efficiency.
Planetary reducers are also divided into different stages. Due to the inability of a set of planetary gears to meet a large transmission ratio, sometimes two or three sets are needed to meet the working requirements. As a result, the gear hierarchy has been increased, and as the hierarchy increases, the speed ratio will correspondingly increase.
